South Bank

Today I went to the South Bank of the river with Lindsay today. This morning we almost didn't go because when I woke up, it was pouring. But by the time I finished breakfast, the sun came out and by lunch time all the clouds were gone. I spent most of the morning relaxing, reading some stuff for Uni, and watched some episodes of Flight of the Conchords. Lunch was and is horrible on the weekends! All they have are sandwiches, which I can't stand. I am going to have to live on pb&j sandwiches, which the Aussies thing is such a weird concept.
Anyways, besides me starving, today was great. Lindsay and I went shopping together before, but we only went to Queens Street, which is on the other side of the river from South Bank. And that time we also thought we took the wrong bus home, but it turned out to drop us off right by the City Cat ferry stop on campus. So we decided to take that bus again because it goes right through South Bank. It was such a beautiful day in the afternoon and we had so much fun shopping at the markets that they have every weekend. There were lots of stalls with handmade jewelery and clothing and Lindsay ended up buying a gorgeous blue dress (we were on a mission on our previous trip for dresses, I got mine on the first trip, Lindsay finally got hers now). We then wandered around, looking at the people swimming in the man made pool, and then we grabbed some coca colas and sat on the boardwalk. We talked a lot and got to know more about each other. Lindsay is also on exchange for a semester. She is from Calgary and goes to UBC. We found out we have so much in common and it is nice become closer with someone, when you don't know many people. We talked about how we were so happy that most of the international students and some of the Aussies are really nice, since we are going through the same things.
We shopped for a long time and then decided to go to Queens Street again, so that we could pick up some stuff, like Lindsay needed contact solution and I needed cough medicine because I have this cough that just won't go away. Then at 4:30pm, we decided to go back home and took the correct bus back to campus. Dinner was depressing, but luckily I still had a pb&j left so I had that after dinner. After dinner I uploaded some of my pictures, and you can see them at:
